Sorry to break your heart again. So many truck stories have unhappy endings lately. This time, a man and a Jeep Gladiator failed to live happily ever after. But to be fair, the owner points out a lot of issues and baggage that came with the truck.

This Jeep Gladiator owner refuses to live with these truck problems

TikTok user @thezachneff is sick and tired of a few different Jeep Gladiator problems. That’s why his truck is being returned to the dealership. However, there’s a twist at the end of his story.

The first issue to rant about includes an expensive $500 tire that has to be replaced. Reportedly, the tread is too thin. He wants to replace all four.

Next, the paint is constantly being chipped by rocks due to the truck’s aerodynamics.

Someone dug their key into the driver’s side door. That’s taking hate for the Gladiator to the next level.

Also, his entire truck is rusting. From the undercarriage to the front bumper. The paint on the Borla exhaust is chipping away too.

Last but not least, he complains about the seats being horrible. The upholstery is starting to fade with use.

So, he’s taking it back to Jeep and saying, “Give me another one.” So these problems aren’t dealbreakers.

I’ve reached out to thezachneff for more information. Like, how many miles are on the black Gladiator? Did he get another Jeep truck? What does he like about it?

Does the Gladiator have a rust problem?

Yes, according to Lemon Law Claims, earlier Jeep Gladiator models from 2020 – 2021 have a rust problem. There are plenty of complaints related to flaking paint and bubbling, especially around the door and hood hinges.

But Jeep updated the painting process in 2023 to prevent this issue. The trucks could still be covered under the five-year corrosion warranty. Get your truck repaired before the warranty expires.

Also, tires with large grooves in the tread can fling gravel. Take that into consideration.

Does the Gladiator have comfortable seats?

Yes and no. The Jeep Gladiator has plenty of different seats ranging from basic cloth to durable, luxurious materials. But the earlier models have received complaints about the seats due to a lack of support and comfort.

Plus, the seats from models before 2023 include creasing problems. When the Jeep Gladiator received a mid-cycle refresh for 2024, it gained higher quality materials. You can always consider getting comfortable seat covers.
