ICE spends $1 million upgrading trucks to attract new talent
The Trump administration pushes Immigration and Customs Enforcement to quickly hire 10,000 new agents. But how do you talk people into applying?
Well, you could bait them with really cool trucks and SUVs. The Department of Homeland Security has taken to social media to show off the epic rides that you’re missing out on.
ICE spent $1 million on truck upgrades that are being bragged about on social media. The images are set to rap lyrics. Plus, the vehicles have large stickers that state ‘Defend the Homeland’ and ‘President Donald J. Trump’.
The posts feature a Ford F-150 Raptor and a GMC Yukon. According to Court House News, the DHS spent $227,977 on the graphic wraps and designs. It also spent another $505,710 on vehicle purchases from three car dealerships.
It’s unclear what the upgrades were, but I’m assuming that they went into security and equipment. Hopefully, every penny didn’t go to looks.
The 2025 Ford F-150 Raptor has an MSRP of $79,005, and the 2025 GMC Yukon starts at $66,900. With the F-150 Raptor, the 5.0-liter V8 engine cranks out 400 hp and 410 lb-ft of torque.
There are plenty of engines available with the Yukon. The most potent option is a 6.2-liter V8 unit with 305 hp and 405 lb-ft of torque. Both options provide tons of fun.
