“Honda Deals Are Insane” — Car Sales Expert Breaks Down the Best 2025 Bargains
Personal car buying advocate Tomislav Mikula regularly posts deals prospective buyers should keep an eye on. And the auto enthusiast recently posted some good news for anyone into Hondas for fall 2025. According to him, the deals are “insane.” In this TikTok clip below, he highlights some of the models offered by the JDM brand deal seekers may want to keep an eye on.
Honda Deals “You Should Be Shooting For”
At the onset of his clip, Mikula (@tomislavmikula) details that he negotiates car buying deals for a living; around 200 each month. This repeated, consistent brokering of deals, he says, makes him an expert.
Following this, he breaks down what folks looking for particular models can expect to pay for their desired vehicles. First up is the Honda HR-V, which he says is a “region specific” deal. In the midwest, $1,200 to $1,800 off MSRP is the norm. However, on either US coasts, he says people can get anywhere from $2,00 to $3,000 off the manufacturer’s price tag.
He does add that the trim of the vehicle doesn’t really affect these discounts. Although he did say that higher trim levels will come with more substantial price slashes. Furthermore, the CR-V, across the board, has 7%-11% off MSRP discounts “all day,” according to the auto finance wiz. Moreover, he said that even the prized Honda Passport is getting healthy 7-9% discounts.
However, he did warn that some auto dealerships may look at folks trying to haggle down the Passport like they have two heads. But, Mikula says that persistent buyers will probably find success in attempting to secure a deal on these cars. Also, Pilots will carry 7%-11% discounts, and the same HRV logic with higher trims applies to this model, too.
Honda Prologue Leasing
Much has been written about the seemingly too-good-to-be-true lease deals currently offered on the Honda Prologue. Mikula says that those looking to get the EV will be best served leasing it. Moreover, he says that interested buyers should avoid getting one altogether unless they do so before the US’s Federal EV tax credit expires.
And if you’re in the market for one of Honda’s most popular vehicles, the Civic, Mikula says you’re in luck. According to him, buyers can nab themselves 5%-7% off MSRP on Civics. But he did warn that securing a hatchback at a discount may be tougher than if one were to pursue a sedan variant. According to him, the bigger discounts for Civics will be found in the Eastern portion of the United States. And he went on to advise California customers, for instance, to shift their searches eastward for more enticing markdowns.
Additionally, this same discount logic applies to Honda’s larger sedan, the Accord. For those wanting a family hauler, the Odyssey is finally being discounted, according to Mikula. “We’re seeing 7-10% on the Odyssey basically all day of the week,” he tells viewers.
Performance Honda Discounts
If you’re looking to burn rubber and want to do it in a Honda, Mikula gave his breakdown of deals on these cars, too. “Si, $500 to $2,000 off is what we get pretty typically,” he says. But he did mention that gunning for that higher discount figure is “pretty insane. But you can get it if you’re willing to look and really open up nationwide,” he maintains.
Furthermore, shoppers who want to get a Type R, may find themselves scratching their heads, the TikToker warns. “The Civic Type R is confusing because if you look on any search engine tool, they’re all listed as MSRP.” Following this, he explains why this is the case. “One of the things you have to realize with Honda is that dealerships get penalized if they list them over MSRP. So they just don’t list them and when you call them they tell you they have a five or 10 thousand dollar markup,” he reveals.
This assertion appears to be corroborated by other auto buyers online. One user in Passport Forums stated that “Honda dealerships all across the country are adding thousands to the sticker price,” of their inventories.
That being said, Mikula stated that the Type R is often listed as being above MSRP. So if folks can secure a purchase of one at its sticker price, it’s still “considered a good deal,” Mikula remarks.
Commenters Sound Off
Numerous folks who replied to Mikula’s video divulged some of the deals they were able to secure for themselves. And some of these purported figures lend credence to Mikula’s buying advice. “I just bought a 2025 Civic Sport hatch new for $23,500,” one penned.
This represents a marked cut on the vehicle’s MSRP, which this dealership lists at $29,055. Reddit users also echoed this $29,055 number as well.
