Ford Bronco owners beg for 1 popular F-150 feature
The Ford Bronco made a triumphant return in 2021. So, it’s had a few years for drivers to put it through the paces. Drivers have learned what they like, hate, and what they’re missing. It turns out that the Bronco needs to borrow a feature from the Ford F-150.
The Ford Bronco is missing an F-150 feature
There’s good news for Ford fans. The CEO, Jim Farley, actually listens to what drivers want and often delivers on the promise.
He participated in a road trip with his Ford Bronco Badlands Sasquatch model and met many owners across the nation. According to Ford Authority, Farley spoke with Bronco owners to see how they’re using their off-roading SUVs.
Through this process, he learned that owners want more power options to run their gear while camping and at job sites. Also, the Ford F-150 PowerBoost became much more popular than Farley expected.
They were basically asking Ford to add the Pro Power Onboard generator to the Bronco. It’s a feature that’s incredibly popular among Ford F-150 owners. I’ve used it to power a camper, and it’s pretty darn cool.
The generator has multiple outlets to power various tools such as jackhammers and everything you would need at a football tailgate, from the TV, speakers, heaters, and more. It can also power electric dirt bikes and portable air compressors.
Drivers might get their wish as new rumors suggest that this feature is being added to the Ford Maverick and Bronco. This tracks as it was recently added to Super Duty trucks.
We could see a PowerBoost Bronco soon. This rugged SUV is due for a redesign and facelift in 2026. This creates the perfect time to add more power.
