Losing a pet is never easy. There’s even an entire violent movie series known as John Wick, where a man goes on a rampage after losing his beagle. But one Texas man took things too far with his Ford truck and multiple guns after a driver hit his best friend.

Texas man forces driver to bury his dog at gunpoint

One man in Texas is recovering from a traumatic experience after accidentally striking a dog in the road. It was dark, and he didn’t know what he had hit, so he pulled over to assess the damage.

Then a silver Ford truck pulled up behind him. The suspect, identified as Alberto Jushua Hernandez, got out of the pickup with a gun. He said, “I should shoot you now for it.”

He yelled at the victim to find his dog, which was in a ditch. Then the victim was forced to carry the dog to Hernandez’s property to dig a grave and bury it.

While the victim was digging, Hernandez took his phone and keys inside his home. Then he came outside with an AR-style rifle with multiple attachments.

Officers with the Mineola Police Department shared that Hernandez used the rifle to force the victim into the Ford truck and drive to the bank. Hernandez took a photo of the victim’s license so he could find him if he didn’t pay for the dog.

He withdrew $200 from an ATM and was returned to his vehicle. According to WFLA,  Hernandez was recognized on surveillance footage at the bank and arrested later in the day.

Now he has to grieve for his dog behind bars. Hernandez was charged with aggravated robbery, aggravated kidnapping, five counts of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance less than one gram, delivery of marijuana, and possession of a dangerous drug.

Perhaps that explains his actions. Hernandez that he could pull off things like John Wick. However, movies aren’t real!
