On a certain stretch of I-10 near Tallahassee in Florida’s Big Bend region, a messy crash brought westbound traffic to a complete standstill.

Around 5 a.m. on Monday, November 18, a Budweiser semi-truck collided with another semi. While the other rig drove one, the beer truck scattered its brewed contents across the highway.

Thankfully, WCTV News reported. zero injuries. The cleanup took hours as the Florida Highway Patrol worked to clear the road.

I-10 is a vital route for locals and long-distance travelers. As such, motorists likely faced significant delays as crews dealt with the beer and debris. If you were heading west, chances are you had time to wish you’d packed extra snacks.

Alcoholic cargo caused other “stirs” this year.

In Oxford, Mississippi, an 18-wheeler spilled cases of beer in August, leaving streets in the college town a frothy mess. Police humorously assured residents that no “help” was needed in cleaning it up. As you can imagine, the beer incident was a hot topic on social media.

In May, a wine truck overturned on I-5 in California, halting traffic until responders reopened several lanes.

Inventory loss is part of the beer biz, sure. It’s always a sad day for those who love to crack open a cold one to pass a semi that dumped out liquid cheer.
