Former FBI agent explains why no cars are linked to Nancy Guthrie’s abduction
Retired FBI agent James Gagliano sheds light on a mystery. Why aren’t any cars linked to the Nancy Guthrie abduction case? The 84-year-old was taken from her home in Tucson, Arizona, and probably wasn’t forced to march through the desert.
The criminals most likely took her away in a vehicle. However, Gagliano shares that it was probably very easy to travel through backstreets, undetected in the dark neighborhood.
Gagliano shares that the neighborhood is “almost like a Jackson Pollock painting”. There are multiple routes through traffic that the suspect could have taken.
The neighborhood has multiple exits. Some are covered by dome traffic lights that make sure signals are working on time, and others aren’t. There are multiple routes that aren’t covered by security cameras.
According to the NY Post, it’s very possible that the vehicle wasn’t picked up by a license plate reader. Otherwise, it would have provided substantial information to the police.
The driver of a FedEx truck was briefly detained after a traffic stop. But the truck was searched, and the man was released without being charged. No other individuals have been detained in connection with Nancy’s disappearance.
A dark-colored SUV that belongs to Nancy was towed from the scene. Investigators are examining it for fingerprints or clues. Despite the lack of evidence, Savannah Gutherie believes her mom is still alive.
