Elon Musk Guts Tesla Cybertruck Prices to Boost Sales
I have good news for the EV bros! That affordable Tesla Cybertruck that Elon Musk promised is finally here. Prices for the massive electric truck are being reduced in an effort to increase sales. Enjoy standard AWD and a longer range for about $10,000 to $15,000 cheaper than before.
The Tesla Cybertruck gets massive price cuts
If you’ve been waiting for the right time to buy a Tesla Cybertruck, then you can benefit from saving thousands. Its new all-wheel-drive model starts at $62,235. This slashes $10,000 from the cheapest long-range truck.
This is the new entry-level model, and it includes dual motors, adaptive damping, Powershare power outlets, and a tonneau cover.
Previously, Musk offered a rear-wheel drive model without these features for $70,000. Also, the Tesla Cyberbeast benefits from a $15,000 discount. It now starts at $99,990 to skirt under $100,000.
However, key features such as the Luxe Package, which includes Full Self-Driving mode was removed to reach that price point. Owners no longer get free access to the Supercharger network either.
According to Auto Week, prices were cut to boost sales. In 2025, the Cybertruck struggled against a sales decrease of 19% compared to 2024. The entire electric vehicle market is struggling since Trump ended the $7,500 federal tax credits.
However, these trucks have been plagued by multiple recalls and quality control issues that turned drivers away. Capacity is being increased in Texas to ramp up production and deliveries. But has the build quality improved? There is nothing to indicate that.
Recently, Musk ended production on the Model X and Model S to focus on humanoid robots to reduce costs from software and services.
