Fleeing the police is hard work. It might even make you work up an appetite.

Florida State Troopers spotted a stolen Honda Accord in Fort Myers late one night, so they signaled the driver to pull over. Behind the wheel was 34-year-old Jenny Fales. And she wasn’t stopping.

She allegedly ran stop signs and red lights through downtown. Finally, officers executed a PIT maneuver to run the Accord off the road.

Once the Honda was out of commission, officers ordered Fales out of the car. She refused. At that point, a state trooper shattered a window to remove her.

Officers reported signs of impairment and requested a field sobriety test and roadside breathalyzer. Fales refused both.

She was arrested and charged with a DUI and driving with her Georgia license suspended. Fales’ response: She didn’t belong in jail because she’d done nothing wrong. She continued, “Just let me go, let’s go chill, eat a hamburger and fries.” She continually asked why they couldn’t all just go eat.

She earns an A+ for trying to make friends, no matter the circumstances. Maybe the jail cafeteria is serving burgers tonight.
