Drunk California woman ‘forgot’ flipping her SUV
A woman in California might need to sober up for some mental clarity. She was really drunk when she hit a parked car and flipped her SUV. However, when police officers questioned her, she claimed to have no recollection of the wreck.
Drunk California woman forgets flipping SUV
Police officers in Upland, California, had their hands full when responding to a downtown wreck around noon that caused an SUV to flip over, blocking traffic.
Officers were able to review surveillance footage that shows the vehicle drifting across lanes and hitting a parked car before overturning at the intersection of A Street and 2nd Avenue.
The video clearly shows the driver of the vehicle being questioned by police. However, she kept insisting that she wasn’t in an accident.
According to The News Tribune, officers shared that they discovered the woman was drunk at almost three times the legal limit of 0.08%. Her blood alcohol level was .23. Side effects of being that drunk include blacking out, confusion, disorientation, and alcohol poisoning.
They believed her when she claimed never to be in a wreck and reported that she forgot all about the crash. She’s lucky that no one was injured.
I don’t think she had a very good time spending a day in the county lock-up for DUI. However, she faced more charges when she sobered up.
Police officers shared that she totaled her SUV and damaged someone else’s car. Plus, she has to deal with court dates, insurance companies, DMV hearings, and penalties in excess of $10,000.
