Declassified CIA File Claims Soviet Troops Were ‘Turned to Stone’ by Aliens After Shooting Down UFO
A declassified CIA file recently released to the public details claims Soviet soldiers shot down a UFO, only to be “turned to stone” by aliens. The encounter reportedly occurred in 1993 in the former Soviet Union.
In the collection of Soviet-era documents on UFOs and extraterrestrial encounters, translated into English and published by journalist George Knapp, several unusual stories appear. Knapp reports that the archive was smuggled out of Russia in the early 1990s and has only now been made available to the public.
The 1993 incident, which was discussed on national telecasts, alleged that Soviet troops had successfully shot down a UFO near Siberia. After taking down the extraterrestrial craft, five aliens emerged from the crash debris. According to the report, they somehow merged to form a bright orb that produced a brilliant flash of light. 23 Soviet soldiers were instantly turned to stone by the light.
Two witnesses reportedly survived the attack. The stone soldiers and UFO wreckage were later taken to a secret research facility near Moscow.
Several other reports of alien and UFO encounters appear in the CIA documents
The documents, covering about 70 pages, also contain a report dated Feb. 13, 1989. In it, a large UFO is observed over Nalchik in Russia. The UFO was reported to have resembled a “jellyfish.”
The UFO reportedly was lit with a series of changing colors, according to IBT. It hovered in the sky for more than an hour before vanishing without a trace.
Another alien encounter reportedly occurred in 1979 in Kazakhstan, when a camper saw tall, dark figures near a forested area. The camper claimed to have seen luminous streaks before the figures appeared.
