Cleveland dealership catches on fire, destroying three valuable muscle cars overnight
On December 9, more than 60 firefighters responded to a fire that broke out at a car dealership in Cleveland, Ohio. It happened during the night, and first responders gained control of the blaze shortly after 3 a.m.
However, an update posted to Cleveland Fire’s X stated flames had reignited at the site just after 7 a.m. After the dust settled, it was discovered that several cars were damaged beyond repair, including three valuable classic cars.
One of the cars reported damaged was a 1969 Ford Torino Cobra Jet, a 1957 Chevy, and a 1967 convertible Mustang. Officials estimate over $500,000 of damage has been done to the building by the fire. Thankfully, no one was harmed, aside from the dealership’s products, reported WKYC.
Locals were sad to see the dealership go
When the outlet posted photos from the scene to their Facebook page, it was one of the more popular posts. Since the original posting date, there have been 396 reactions, 60 comments, and 50 shares.
Most people felt sorry for the owners, who are local independent owners.
“So sorry for your loss,” wrote a commenter. “Business is tough enough.”
Of course, some accused the owners of doing it on purpose to collect insurance.
Some jokingly accused an EV of causing the fire.
