I once thought “brat” was an insult, comparing someone to a spoiled or rude child. But when British singer Charli XCX named her album “Brat” she reclaimed the word. The Collins Dictionary even admitted “brat” has evolved to mean someone with “a confident, independent, and hedonistic attitude.” So imagine Charli XCX fans’ delight when they decided the Ford logo backwards spells out “braT.”

The theory goes that in the Ford logo, the lowercase “d” looks like a lowercase “b.” Then the cursive “r” still looks like an “r” in reverse. The flourish leading into the “o”–when mirrored–makes it look like an “a.” Finally, that uppercase “F” could be an uppercase “T.” What do you think, can you see it? Ford sure can.

Ford Motor Company hasn’t weighed into the debate. yet. But when TikTok user Hailey LaRae posted a mirrored video of her own F-150 tailgate, Ford UK commented on the logo debate. “Bratmobile owners assemble.”

Charli XCX has revealed her first car was a Volkswagen GTI. She later upgraded to the similar Audi A4. Her favorite car is her Aston Martin Vantage. Though she reportedly also owns a Mercedes G-Wagon and Range Rover Evoque. But maybe if Ford reaches out with the right offer, it can earn a place as the true “Bratmobile.”
