‘Can’t like this’ Caitlin Clark and Cunningham’s bold truck banter turns heads
I never expected to have anything in common with WNBA players, as I’m 5’1” and clumsy. But Caitlyn Clark and Sophie Cunningham have been posting about their love of pickups, so I can relate. However, Sophie Cunningham somewhat regrets showing her truck to the world.
Caitlin Clark jokingly shames Sophie Cunningham for truck post
It’s fitting that WNBA stars Caitlyn Clark and Sophie Cunningham play for the Indiana Fever because their truck banter is heating up.
It all started with an Instagram post to debut Cailtin Clark’s new logo with Nike. Her new signature show is arriving in 2026. In the post, a flatbed truck is carrying billboards that include the new logos.
Cunningham posted, “Ohhhh you do have a truck.” The comment was complete with a winking emoji. According to Sports Illustrated, she’s making a humorous reference to a she posted of her GMC Sierra. The post can be viewed here.
In the photo, Cunningham is wearing a cowboy hat, jacket, bikini, and boots. The captions say, “Back when my knee was healthy.” Sure, it’s a little scandalous, but it shows much less than models on a runway.
Also, the GMC Sierra 1500 is a respectable truck choice. It’s what I would go with if I had WNBA money. It has a great range of adjustments for folks who are short, tall, and in between. Plus, the black and tan interior that you can spot in the open door looks great.
Clark commented, “Jeez Sophie,” and “Can’t like this,” in good spirits as Cinningham boldly exited her comfort zone. Both players are currently injured and have alluded to the post being published while under the influence of pain medication.
I hope Cunningham recovers from her torn MCL and Clark makes a speedy return to the court after sustaining a groin injury. But until then, the world needs more truck content!
