If you see something suspicious, report it! Your top could help get a violent criminal off the streets. A complaint about a man near a truck stop in Florida led police to a semi-truck filled with blood. Now he faces charges related to a recent murder.

Florida police officers received reports of a suspicious man behind the Pilot Truck Stop on South Rock Road in Fort Pierce. As deputies arrived on the scene, they discovered 41-year-old Olsen Jean beside a semi-truck

It appeared that the rig had run off the road and become stuck in a ditch. Upon closer inspection, officers observed blood inside the cab near the passenger-side door and on the exterior of the passenger side of the truck.

Officers arrested the owner and operator of the vehicle on a charge of resisting an officer without violence. According to Local 10, the trucker faces charges in connection to the murder of 32-year-old Wendy Moncion of Coconut Creek.

An investigation discovered probable cause to charge Olsen with counts of first-degree murder with a firearm and tampering with evidence in connection with her death. Information about how and the murder took place will be released later. There is an ongoing investigation.

Saint Lucie County Sheriff Richard Del Toro Jr. shares, “This was a violent and senseless crime, and I want to commend the outstanding work of our Patrol Operations Bureau and Criminal Investigations Division for their relentless efforts in bringing this case forward.”

He also warns others to “Let this serve as a clear message. Violent crime is not tolerated in St. Lucie County, and we will pursue justice for victims and their families.”

Investigators encourage any with related information to contact the SLCSO’s Criminal Investigation Division at (772) 462-7300.
