The Super Bowl is almost upon us. That means one thing: a whole bunch of new commercials are coming. Every year, automotive companies try to entice the massive viewing audience into buying their vehicles. Trucks, SUVs, sedans, coupes, hybrids, there are so many to choose from these days that having a message seen by a large number of people is why so many car companies advertise during the big game.

Last year’s Super Bowl was watched by a record average of 127.7 million people in the United States. So, while the Ford F-150 has been the best-selling truck in America for 49 consecutive years, car companies like Ram, Chevrolet, Toyota, and others are still trying to catch up.

That being said, some truck companies are just better at it than others. For example, in our humble opinion, these are the seven best Super Bowl truck commercials of all time. (If we left out one of your favorites, be sure to share it with us on social media. We know you will.)

Ram: ‘Goldilocks and the Three Bears’

Putting a celebrity like Glen Powell in an absurd situation, test-driving three different Ram truck models, was certainly a unique concept. Inserting him into that situation in 2025 as Goldilocks from the Three Bears fairy tale was definitely memorable.

Chevy Silverado: ‘Walter in Winter’

Walter the cat, who appeared in multiple Chevy commercials, loves to go extreme. So the Chevy Silverado’s off-road capabilities were tailor-made for the fast feline during the 2022 Super Bowl.

Nissan Titan XD: ‘Shoulders of Giants’

Rarely, very rarely, does a car company mention other car companies in their commercials. That, however, actually occurred in the 2016 Nissan Titan XD Super Bowl commercial. While it garnered a lot of attention for paying homage to several American trucks, it was certainly a risky choice.

Ram: ‘So God Made a Farmer’

One of the most iconic truck commercials to air during a Super Bowl, Ram’s “Farmer” spot pulled at America’s heartstrings. Using a 1978 address to Future Farmers of America by broadcasting legend Paul Harvey, the ad went on to be viewed tens of millions of times on platforms like Twitter and YouTube.

Toyota Tundra: ‘The Joneses’

In 2022, Toyota recruited Tommy Lee Jones, Leslie Jones, and Rashida Jones to star in their Super Bowl commercial. The famous Joneses participated in a comical race that saw them go from the highway to the desert to the snow, showcasing the Tundra’s multi-surface capabilities. A quick cameo by Nick Jonas at the end was the cherry on top.

Jeep Gladiator: ‘Groundhog Day’

The 2020 Super Bowl featured a Jeep Gladiator commercial, with none other than Bill Murray reprising his role from the popular film Groundhog Day. It was so good that in 2025, it was named the best American ad of the 21st century.

Chevrolet: ‘Like a Rock’

The OG of truck Super Bowl commercials, Chevrolet’s “Like a Rock” ad campaign, was launched during the 1992 Super Bowl. The long-running series of commercials became synonymous with and repeatedly reinforced Chevy’s reputation for truck reliability.
