Arizona Moving Crew Blocks Suspected Kidnapper With Trucks
Give it up for a brave moving crew from Arizona. They used their trucks to block a suspected kidnapper from getting away before the police could arrive. A simple stop at a gas station leads to them becoming heroes.
Arizona moving crew stops kidnapper with trucks
With big trucks come big responsibilities. But things are often related to keeping other drivers and cargo safe, not preventing a kidnapper from getting away with a child!
Employees with the Camelback Moving Company in Arizona were at the right place at the right time to spring into action. Three trucks and eight employees pulled into a gas station for refreshments.
Then they noticed an Amber Alert blaring on their phones at the QwikTrip. A security guard shared that he thought he recognized the Amber Alert suspect and the missing three-year-old as they walked into the store.
The drivers ran outside and moved their large trucks to block the suspect’s vehicle from leaving as the security guard called 911. About 90 seconds later, police officers arrived. They took the suspect, identified as Marina Noriega, and reported that the child is safe and in good health.
According to 12 News, this incident occurred right after the company participated in training for Truckers Against Trafficking.
Chad Olsen, president of Cambelback Moving shares, “Truckers, movers are in a unique position to prevent this or at least recognize some of the signs of traffic that occur because we’re in the homes.”
He’s proud of his team and notes, “We’re a moving company, we’re not professional heroes or anything of the sort, but we’re good people, and we do the right thing.”
