The One-of-a-Kind Acura NSX Roadster Tony Stark Drove in ‘The Avengers’ Is Going up for Auction
Who doesn’t want to be like Tony Stark? He’s rich, he’s handsome, he is very lucky with the ladies, he’s freaking Iron Man, for goodness sake.
While many of those qualities are rare, especially when combined together (and impossible when it comes to the last one), you can at least own and drive the exact same Iron Man red Acura NSX Roadster that he drove in the movie The Avengers. (Of course, you will have to possess that first quality or you’re s— out of luck).
The 2026 Sundance Film Festival in Utah is auctioning off the very unique movie car. It will be on display, and the sale will take place at the Festival’s annual fundraiser on Friday, January 23, at the Grand Hyatt Deer Valley in Park City.

“The one-of-a-kind supercar will be auctioned off this year with proceeds benefiting the winning bidder’s charity of choice,” Acura said in a press release. “At the time of the auction, Acura will guarantee a contribution to the Sundance Institute to support independent artists and emerging voices year-round. The winning bidder will also have the opportunity to designate additional proceeds to benefit the Sundance Institute.”
The history of Tony Stark’s Iron Man red Acura NSX Roadster
Cars & Bids will auction off the Tony Stark Acura NSX Roadster. Buyer beware, this beautiful and famous supercar has a whopping 252,000 miles on it. That’s what happens when you create a one-off supercar for a 2012 film with a 1991 chassis, I guess. Then again, the car was created specifically for The Avengers, so it’s still pretty cool.
That’s also why, instead of a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 hybrid drivetrain, it has a 3.0-liter naturally aspirated V6 that cranks out around 270 horsepower.
As duPont Registry explained prior to the NSX appearing at Monterey Car Week in August…
Trans FX in Oxnard, California, handled the transformation. The team stripped the body down to its chassis, then built a fiberglass frontend and foam rear section inspired by the second-generation NSX Concept shown at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show. The suspension was dropped two inches, 18-inch wheels were fitted, and the original interior was mostly intact, besides a painted panel in the center console to match the exterior and the aftermarket seats.
Also, as duPont Registry put it, it is “rare to find a Hollywood car that still drives, still wears its movie plate (“Stark 33”), and still looks exactly as it did on screen.”
And that, among many of the other aforementioned reasons, is why we want it.
