Nowadays, though, it seems mileage is the greatest factor. After 60 months, certain models lose the largest chunk of their original market value. Let’s dive into his list.

5. Ford F-150
The F-150 loses 37.9% of its original value after five years of ownership. “This one actually shocked me,” Godwin explains. He says that when he’s done this list in previous years, the F-150 usually takes first place as the fastest-depreciating truck on the market. “Well done, Ford,” he says to its “slim” drop in value.
4. Chevrolet Silverado 1500
The Silverado 1500 sheds about 39.2% of its value after 60 months on the road.
3. GMC Sierra 1500
The Sierra 1500 hits mid-pack at a 38.1% loss in original value after five years. “Gotta give props to GM for consistency on this one, I guess,” Godwin says since the truck tends to settle in the middle year-over-year.
2. Ram 1500
In second place for fastest-depreciating pickup trucks on the market now is the Ram 1500, which ditches a hefty 44% of its original market value after 60 months. Looking at the numbers, it’s a pretty close second place, too.
“Then there’s the number one spot, which I still can’t get over isn’t the F-150…”
Godwin says this truck has been on the “worst” list since its inception. However, it’s usually farther down on the list of fastest-depreciating trucks. This year though, the Nissan Titan takes first place…which, in this case, isn’t a positive. The Titan loses 44.2% of its market value after five years of ownership.
