Three suspects in Boston might need to take crashing into a church as a sign to change their ways. They hit a brick wall with a stolen SUV and tried to escape police on foot without any luck. Now they have time behind bars to think about their actions.

3 suspects hit a church in Boston with a stolen SUV

Getting away with a stolen SUV didn’t go as planned for three suspects in Boston, Massachusetts. The driver lost control of the Hyundai Ioniq they were speeding in.

As a result, they crashed into the Morning Star Baptist Church on Blue Hill Avenue. The front of the vehicle was crushedagainst an exterior brick wall. It also tore through a few bushes, sending dirt and debris everywhere.

According to WCVB, police officers shared that the stolen vehicle hit a fire hydrant before flying into the side of the building. Visible skid marks were left in the road, leading to a path of debris.

The suspects then exited the vehicle and ran away on foot. However, police officers caught each of them shortly after the accident. Luckily, no one was injured. Bystanders and witnesses were able to jump out of the way.

Crews pulled the Hyundai SUV out away from the building’s exterior. The building was visibility damaged and decimated a well-maintained area of foliage.

As the community comes to terms with a senseless act of action in a place regarded as a safe haven, they hope it serves as a wake-up call. The hard-hitting impact was difficult to watch, and could have easily taken their lives.
