1. 2015 Ford F-150 

Up first, we have the 2025 Ford F-150. This was a great year for America’s favorite truck. It has a reliability rating of 82 out of 100 from J.D.Power. That’s an above average score that’s based on owner feedback. 

This truck is available with two potent V6 powertrains and a 5.0-liter V8. When equipped with the 3.5-liter engine, the F-150 can tow up to 12,000 lbs. SuperCrew trucks can be found for between $14,448 and $23,951. 

2. 2016 Chevy Silverado 1500 

Uh oh, the 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 serves as the F-150’s biggest rival. It has a reliability score of 84, which is two whole points ahead of the 2015 F-150. However, it only tows up to 12,000 lbs, which is 200 lbs short of the F-150. 

It has similar engine options as the F-150, including two V6 power houses and two robust V8 units. The 6.2-liter V8 cranks out 420 hp. Lower trim levels can be found for as low as $10,400, but more luxurious models go for about $20,600. 

3. 2015 Toyota Tundra 

Did you think it would be possible to make this list without a Toyota Tundra? The 2015 model shines with a reliability rating of 81 out of 100, making it above average. However, it can only tow up to 10,500 lbs. 

It has a standard 5.7-liter V8 engine with 381 hp. Drivers feel as if the muscle is worth the weak fuel economy. Some 2015 Tundra models can be found for as low as $17,400. More luxurious trim levels hover around $20,000.
