At the end of the day, I believe people can disagree and still be friends. Currently, I humbly disagree with Ram CEO, Tim Kuniskis about the 2026 Ramcharger being the Goldilocks truck because it’s insanely heavy.

Ram CEO calls the 2026 Ramcharger the Goldilocks truck

To get everyone up to speed, Goldilocks breaks into a home and steals food and a bed from a family of bears. But she only eats and sleeps what she considers to be just right.

So when Ram CEO, Tim Kuniskis calls the upcoming 2026 Ramcharger the Goldilocks truck, he means it’s just right. It’s a cool alternative to getting an EV or hybrid truck as it extends its range with the help of electric motors.

The new truck pairs a 3.5-liter V6 engine with dual electric motors to handle the propulsion. It cranks out 647 hp and 610 lb-ft of torque.

According to Motor 1, it can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about 4.5 seconds. On a full charge with a full tank of gas, the truck has a range of about 690 miles.

That’s cool and exciting. However, the Ramcharger is hefty. It weighs roughly 7,507 lbs. To me, that’s a bit heavy for off-roading and might sink in the red mud found all over the Carolinas.

Plus, it’s expected to start in the $70,000 to $80,000 range. This is crazy expensive to be just right for most Americans. Goldilocks is a little girl, how can she buy one?

Also, out of all the nursery rhyme tales, Ram goes with Goldilocks. She’s a thief who doesn’t end up doing anything cool. For example, Little Red Riding Hood uses an axe to cut her Grandma out of a wolf’s stomach.

So, while the truck is new and exciting, I struggle with the concept that it’s the perfect fit. It might be just right for those who can actually afford it, though.

P.S. Glen Powell was Goldilocks in a Ram truck commercial during the Super Bowl and it didn’t seem to get a big response.
