A better SUV option has entered the chat. The 2026 Mazda CX-5 is rocking a refreshed style with updated tech and enhanced comfort. Plus, it’s more affordable than rivals with an MSRP that starts under $30,000.

How much does the 2026 Mazda CX-5 cost?

Drum roll, please! The 2026 Mazda CX-5 has an MSRP of $29,990. I know, that’s hardly under $30,000, but it still counts. Then the $1,495 destination fee takes the starting price up to $31,485.

Next, the popular 2026 Toyota RAV4 has an MSRP of $31,900. The $1,450 destination fee increases the starting price to $33,350.

Then the 2026 Honda CR-V rings in with an MSRP of $30,920. The $1,395 destination fee brings the total up to $31,685.

So, the CX-5 starts at $1,865 less than the RAV4 and $200 less than the CR-V. Also, the destination fees are non-negotiable, unfortunately.

The 2026 Mazda CX-5 starts with solid value as all-wheel drive is standard. AWD isn’t standard with lower trim levels of the RAV4 and CR-V.

According to Mazda, the CX-5 has a standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 187 hp and 186 lb-ft of torque. A hybrid powertrain will be added to the lineup by the end of the year.

The biggest changes over the outgoing generation include more space. Now the CX-5 is wider and longer than before to provide more cargo and passenger room. Plus, the rear doors have wider openings.

Plus, the CX-5 has tons of updated tech, including a 15.6-inch touchscreen. It’s paired with voice commands and other tech that minimizes distractions so you can focus on the road.

If you miss the old rotary dial setup, the steering wheel features new buttons to control the infotainment interface. Features such as ambient lighting dress up the elegant cabin. I can’t wait to take the new CX-5 for a spin.
