2025 marks a new year with the same Jeep SUV problems. The brand has been facing declining sales as Stellantis makes the transition to an electrified lineup. Only one model ended the first quarter with a sales increase.

Only one Jeep SUV benefits from growing sales

The only Jeep SUV to benefit from improving sales during the first quarter of 2025 is the Jeep Compass. This is pretty surprising as it’s not exactly the most popular model that comes to mind while thinking about the brand.

During the first quarter of 2024, the Compass moved 27,647 SUVs. This figure increased to 31,730 during the same period in 2025. It benefits from a year-over-year sales increase of 15%.

The famous Jeep Wrangler sold 38,308 models during the first quarter of 2024 and 37,961 units during the first quarter of 2025. It has a year-over-year sales decrease of 1%. That doesn’t seem too bad.

According to Mopar Insiders, the Jeep Renegade and Cherokee both had massive sales declines of 94 and 84%, but that’s not surprising as both of these SUVs have been discontinued.

But the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer both have sales declines of 59 and 48%. Perhaps Stellantis should have been working on improving smaller, affordable SUVs instead of building larger, luxurious family haulers.

The Grand Cherokee currently faces an 11% sales decline and the Gladiator only sold 12,057 trucks during the first quarter of 2025. It has a 7% sales decline.

Overall, the Jeep brand sold 157,039 vehicles in the first quarter of 2024 and 140,583 models during the same period of 2025. The brand has a year-over-year sales decline of 10%.
