‘Shame on you for not warning buyers’ 1 Jeep problem everyone needs to know
You’ve been warned! There is a certain Jeep problem that one passionate owner thinks everyone should know before buying. The owner has three Wrangler models in his driveway, but still asks Stellantis to look into one particular issue.
One Jeep problem to know about before buying
TikTok user and Jeep Wrangler enthusiast, @jeepleakfix, is shaming Stellantis for not warning buyers about an annoying Jeep problem.
According to this user, it doesn’t matter which Jeep Wrangler you buy, from soft top to hardtop, two-door or four-door. They all leak like crazy. This can lead to mold growth inside the vehicle.
So, he shames Stellantis for not telling folks that mold will grow inside their vehicles, making them sick. He claims that the company won’t put a body side seal on Wrangler models, which prevents other SUVs from leaking.
Of course, he mentions that he sells the only body side seal for Wranglers. How convenient. Is this just a fear-mongering marketing attempt? Is this problem really that bad if he has three Wrangler models in his driveway?
Some commenters say that they’ve owned multiple models that have never leaked. Others chimed in that they’ve had multiple Wranglers that leaked. Also, commenters suggest that user error when putting the top back on causes the leaking.
Other comments suggested that Jeeps leak due to their quality. But Jeep mold is also easy to fix by drying the interior, frequently cleaning the interior, and using moisture absorbers.
Also, the signs of mold are pretty obvious. You may notice a musty, sour milk odor or visible mold spots, like discolored patches on the seats, carpet, or roof. One commenter even suggests just removing all the carpet.
