A manual transmission was once a standard feature in vehicles before automatic transmissions surfaced. However, now it has become a dying breed. With many manufacturers not making these transmissions any longer, it has almost become a thing of the past. A few still keep it around but are primarily associated with sports cars. For example, shifting into low gear has its place, and there is the best way to launch a manual transmission. While these transmissions have almost become a thing of the past, there are still manufacturers who stick to the old ways and keep the it alive today as an option.
