The Maserati Ghibli is an executive car/luxury sedan model produced and sold by the Italian luxury vehicle manufacturer Maserati. While not exactly cheap, the Ghibli is currently the most affordable car/sedan model in the Maserati vehicle catalog. It is priced under the MC20 super sports car and the Quattroporte luxury sports saloon.
The Maserati Ghibli (a hot and dry wind in the Libyan desert) has three different iterations. The first two Ghibli runs (1967-1973 and 1992-1998) were grand tourer coupe and roadster models, while the current Ghibli is an executive saloon that made its debut at the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show in China. This model was based on the Ghibli Zegna Edition Concept vehicle previewed at the 2014 Paris Motor Show in France.
A successor to the Biturbo family of models from 1981 to 1994, the Maserati Ghibli is still in its first generation. However, it received a facelift for the 2020 model year. Its prime competitors include the Audi A6, the BMW 5-Series, the Jaguar XF, the Mercedes-Benz CLS, and the Volvo S90.
