Because the Cooper is a popular car, Mini gave customers many customization options. One of the biggest is a four-door option, making the car larger and allowing it to seat five. That said, the four-door Cooper doesn’t provide access to the most expensive model, the John Cooper Works. 

The John Cooper Works starts at over $35,400. Its main upgrade sits under the hood. This car swaps out the three-cylinder engine for a 2.0-liter turbo-four. This power plant produces 228 hp and 235 lb-ft of torque — nearly 100 hp more than the base engine. As a result, the JCW can zoom from 0 to 60 mph in 5.9 seconds. 

On top of that, the automaker improved the car’s performance by upgrading its suspension and braking systems. For example, it gets Brembo front brakes and a specially tuned suspension.

The John Cooper Works also boasts a few extra upscale amenities, such as a 12-speaker premium sound system and heated exterior mirrors with washer jets.

In addition, customers can pay extra for various options, packages, and accessories. With all those added, a fully loaded 2024 Mini Cooper John Cooper Works costs upward of $59,000.

The 2024 Mini Cooper John Cooper Works provides access to numerous extras.

For instance, the Iconic Trim package costs $7,400. It adds luxurious features like a head-up display, wireless phone charging, heated front seats, and much more.

Less expensive à la carte options include adaptive cruise control for $500, a heated steering wheel for $250, and roof rails for $250.

Optional accessories abound too. For example, there’s a $2,700 wheel and tire set, a $159 roof graphic, and a $138 bike rack.
