Peter Corn

Peter Corn joined MotorBiscuit as an Autos Writer in 2020 and brings his quippiest Southern drawl to our table. Having, in his words, “helped” rebuild his dad’s 1959 MGA as a small child, Peter grew up loving vintage cars and trucks, adding motorcycles and all things 4×4 as he went.

Peter earned a Bachelor of Archeology and Creative Writing from the University of Alabama and has since melded his love of driving with storytelling. His voice, full of pleasantries and witticisms, can be enjoyed in The Gentleman Racer, The Vintagent, Gear Patrol, Iron & Air Magazine, and Classic Car Club Magazine.

Peter is a co-founder of both The Colloquial Magazine and The Fire Escape, the official podcast of The Colloquial. In an effort to increase his abilities in “ramping anything with wheels,” Peter has taken track training from Classic Car Club Manhattan and attended Rally School at Monticello Motor Club, where he was coached by eight-time Performance Rally motorsport champion Chris Duplessis.

On a lucky day, we get to hear Peter tell the story of his first car, a jewel of a 1958 Ford Fairlane, into which he dumped more time and money than made sense, but he has no regrets.

A Guy Named Ferrari Had His 2003 Ferrari Modena Stolen and Sold by the Cops

Getting your car stolen has to be pretty confusing. You come outside expecting to see your car, and it’s gone. Imagine how your confusion might multiply if you found out it was the cops. Well, this story isn’t quite so cut and dry like that. For one New Yorker, this is (kind of) what happened. …

$200,000 McLaren 570S Thief Arrested When He Tried to Get the Locks Changed

Getting your car stolen has got to be one of the most irritating things ever. I assume it’s way more aggravating when your car is a McLaren 570S. The aggravation must wane a bit once you learn that the person who stole your car is a complete moron and got themselves caught quickly. Well, that …

The 2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty Is the Definition of Having Nothing to Prove

The truck world is a strange one full of mystery and contradiction. For a segment seemingly focused on work and toughness, trucks consistently get ripped to shreds by reviewers like Consumer Reports and KBB. The super- and heavy-duty work trucks, on the other hand, are a bit more straightforward and predictable as a segment. The …

Roland Sands Just Built a Gloriously Game-Changing KTM 790 Adventure Bike

The motorcycle world is similar-ish to the car and truck one, but it operates under its own rules. Custom builders in the car world definitely have clout, but there is something different about custom builders in the moto world. Custom cars tend to exist in their own enthusiast corners, usually disassociated with the major manufacturers. …

Toyota Tacoma Gets Completely Destroyed in Off-Road Recovery Attempt

If you go off-roading enough, you will get stuck. It’s like playing football; if you play football, you’re going to get hit. There’s no shame in getting stuck on a gnarly trail; it is all a part of the fun. You drive your Jeep in, get bogged down, and either winch yourself out or call …

This Carbon Fiber Beast Is the Darkar-Inspired Overlanding RV to End Them All

If you haven’t noticed yet, dear reader, we here at MotorBiscuit are a bit camper crazy. We look for reasons to cover anything RV, camper, overlanding, van conversion, and 5th wheel camper. shadowy figure appearing to steal a car. Maybe in a stolen car

What Do You Do If Your Car Gets Stolen?

Car theft is on the rise. With Covid still raging, our need for cars is high, and many people are still out of work. This creates a strong cause-and-effect balance that has some ugly results. Coming out to find your car missing has got to be one of the worst feelings a motorist can have. …

Why the Hell Did This Guy Pass On a $300,000 Bugatti Veyron?

I’m not going to sit here and say $300,000 isn’t an absolute boatload of money. I would argue that that amount of money on a car makes that boatload feel even bigger, but everything is relative, or so I’ve been told. That being said, a hypercar that typically sells for millions of dollars offered for …

The 2022 Land Rover Defender Just Got a Lot Bigger

Bringing classic vehicles with a cult following back from the dead is a tricky thing to do. Either the manufactures just take an old name and put it on the wrong body style, like the Jeep Gladiator, or they make something that was once rugged and make it too fancy. These things piss off the …

The 2021 GMC Sierra Has an Evergreen Value That You Shouldn’t Ignore

Resale value is a concept that translates across everything we do. From our homes to our trucks, we value things that can retain their worth for years after we have bought them. Resale value really only comes from one of two things; either rarity or reliability. There are a few models that we are aware …

The 2021 Honda Ridgeline HPD Leans On Motorcross to Prove That It’s Cool

The pickup truck segment is a strange one. For most truck drivers, the downsides of driving a truck every day, like bad gas mileage, uncomfortable ride, and crude interiors, are fine because they use them for their intended utilitarian purpose. The other chunk of truck drivers choose to drive a truck as their everyday vehicle, …

Volvo Just Announced the Death of Its Gas-Powered Vehicles

EVs will not be stopped. We have been on the precipice of a major paradigm shift in the auto industry for a while now, but the EV wave is mounting, and it doesn’t seem to be breaking. As some manufactures like Toyota are still making massive V8 4x4s like the Tundra, others are beginning to …
