Is it time for an update? While the Ford Expedition is still modern and trendy, it could use a bigger refresh. Bigger updates are on the way for 2025. But the 2024 Ford Expedition is still enticing with minor changes.

2024 Ford Expedition: What’s new?

The 2024 Ford Expedition carries on the fourth generation with minor changes. It hasn’t been redesigned since 2018, so it may feel outdated compared to rivals like the Chevy Tahoe, which was completely redesigned for 2021.

Also, the Chevy Tahoe already has a mid-cycle refresh in the works for 2025. But the 2025 could steal the show by launching its fifth generation.

For 2024, the Expedition gains a new shade of Wild Green paint. Plus, the XLT, Limited, King Ranch, and Platinum models get standard tow hooks when equipped with all-wheel drive and the Trailer Tow package.

Each model in the lineup gets USB-C ports in the second row and the complimentary Connected Navigation software has been reduced from three years down to one.

The 2024 Expedition has an MSRP of $54,555. The $1,995 destination fee takes the starting price up to $56,550 before market adjustments and taxes. The 2023 Expedition has an MSRP of $54,775, so the price actually decreased by $220.

On the other end of the spectrum, the top-spec Platinum trim takes the price up to $82,690 with the destination fee included.

The Expedition XL model starts with the standard 3.6-liter V6 engine with 380 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque. Higher trim levels have the output boosted to 400 hp and 480 lb-ft of torque. The top trim levels get even more power from the same engine with 440 hp and 510 lb-ft of torque.

Other standard features with the base model include five seats, 18inch wheels, LED headlights, dual-zone automatic climate control, a power adjustable driver’s seat, keyless entry, push-button start, a six-speaker audio system, and wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto.

Standard features consist of blind spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keeping assist, forward collision alert, and automatic emergency braking.

Stay tuned for updates about the 2025 Expedition. It could be revealed soon with a totally revamped exterior, lavish interior, and advanced tech.
