Additionally, it is available in either rear- or four-wheel drive. Which gives it some serious utility. MotorTrend does note that opting for the V6 engine will add to the cost of the truck.

Better yet, a range of configurations is available. These include the access cab, with a six-foot bed, double cab, with a five-foot bed, and double cab, with a six-foot bed. Because of this, the Tacoma SR5 can come equipped to handle your specific needs.

Other notable features include integrated fog lights, dual-zone automatic climate control, 16-inch gray allow wheels, and an available 10-way adjustable driver’s seat. For those interested in tech, this Toyota truck does come equipped with an 8.0-inch touchscreen system for added functionality.

How much does the 2022 Toyota Tacoma SR5 cost?

The base price of the Tacoma SR5 is $29,380. This is just over $2,500 more than the base SR model and significantly cheaper than the Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro. All the while, you can still get a V6 truck that comes outfitted with 4WD. When compared to other mid-size trucks, the SR5 package makes sense.

Is the Toyota Tacoma SR5 worth it?

The Toyota Tacoma SR5 offers comfort features while retaining its utility. From available locking cargo storage to a power sliding rear window, Toyota has fit quite a bit into this package. Because of this, the truck offers a unique value proposition. 

If you find yourself wanting a mid-size truck that is ready to go off-road, the Tacoma does deliver on a variety of other trims. These include the TRD Off-Road and TRD Pro. Both of which bring serious off-road capability to the table.
