It seems that recent Toyota RAV4 generations last between four to six years before a redesign is introduced. So, the world’s most popular SUV could be due for a redesign soon based on previous generations.

The Toyota RAV4 isn’t extremely outdated, but it competes in America’s most competitive vehicle class. New models like the Mazda CX-50 are emerging and trying to take market share from other small SUVs. The Honda CR-V, a fierce RAV4 rival, was recently redesigned for 2023.

The RAV4 is praised for its spacious cabin and many standard features. It has great gas mileage and provides plenty of value over time.

Drivers love the Toyota RAV4 because it’s easily one of the most well-rounded options on the market. It isn’t the most reliable model in its segment, but it should still last for at least 200,000 miles or over 14 years of ownership.
