The Ram 1500 is regarded by many as the best pickup truck on the market. Ram offers something like 6 trillion trims, one of the best interiors on the market, and many powerful engines. However, the current Ram 1500 hasn’t seen any significant updates or changes since 2019. The time is right for a Ram 1500 update, and Ram has confirmed the updates will come in Q1 of 2024.

What’s new for the Ram 1500

Spy photos show a heavily camouflaged Ram 1500 cruising around, looking like Darth Vader’s project car. The good news is that we won’t have to wait too long to check out the new Ram because it is set to debut in Q1 of 2024. Ram boss Tim Kuniskis has confirmed this time frame. Sluethy photos of the camouflaged Ram can be seen here or in the following video:

Reporting from the Detroit News states that the L.A. Autoshow could likely be where the updated Ram debuts.

Based on the placement of the heavy camo, we can assume the style changes to the Ram 1500 will be on the tailgate, grille, headlights, and bumpers.

Will the Ram 1500 change the interior?

Ram hasn’t said anything about the state of the interior. This is significant because Ram is well known for having the finest truck interior. Until someone snags a spy photo of the interior, it isn’t likely that Ram will let spill the details just yet. While it’s common for mid-cycle refreshes to keep the same interior, tech is moving fast enough now that we shouldn’t be surprised if we see some new bits and bobs in the Ram’s interior.

Is the Ram 1500 getting a new engine?

Rumors suggest that yet another engine option could be available for the king of options. Ram could pick up Jeep’s twin-turbo straight-six. If you are worried that a 3.0-liter straight-six might not make enough power for the Ram, don’t. That little six can make a whopping 510 horsepower and 500 pound-feet of torque.

Will these updates be on the 2024 Ram 1500?

We know the updates will be revealed early in 2024, but that doesn’t mean the updates will be available for the 2024 model. It could be that the 2025 Ram 1500s get whatever the company is working on under cover of camouflage. It could also be that later 2024 models can get some or all of the updates.

It’s important to note that Ram’s website still doesn’t show the 2024 Ram 1500. While this isn’t proof, it could suggest that the updates could be included for the 2024 model. Again, without any concrete details, all we can go on is common sense and rumors, but both suggest that the next Ram model will catch a price increase. If anyone is still expecting truck prices to come down, it might be time to give that up. New trucks are only getting more complicated, technological, and often larger. The chances that price increases are coming for Stellantis products are likely but not confirmed.
