Everyone knows that the car-buying market has been volatile, thanks primarily to material issues, supply chain follies, and the geopolitical landscape. Still, some people choose to buy cars even with bloated prices and availability difficulties. However, even with seemingly everything trying to stop that new car from reaching your driveway, cars like the Ford Mustang Mach-E and Subaru Ascent are top sellers in the second quarter (Q2) of 2022.

Is the Ford Mustang Mach-E selling well?

Despite the lack of availability for new Ford Mustang Mach-Es, demand is up for the electric Ford. Along with a rising interest in EVs for environmental and, more recently, fuel cost concerns, Ford fans can’t get enough of the four-door electric SUV. According to Gear Patrol, Ford has sold around 17,675 Mach-Es, a 36.2% improvement over previous quarters. Even if you object to the vehicle wearing a galloping horse badge, it is quick, versatile, and evidently, popular.

Is the BMW 4-Series one of the top sellers in 2022?

Even with one of the hardest-to-love front ends on the market, the BMW 4-Series is a popular vehicle for luxury car shoppers. Still, unattractive aesthetics don’t negatively impact the driving experiences of modern BMWs, especially when it comes down to the M cars. For Q2, BMW sold 14,025 4-Series vehicles to date. That marks an 11.9% increase over the previous quarter.

Subaru has cornered the market on all-wheel drive (AWD) weekend camping and adventure vehicles. The Subaru Crosstrek is no different. The crossover’s popularity is evident given the fact that Subaru sold 70,050 this year to date. That marks a 9.1% increase and secures the Crosstrek a spot on the list of top sellers for 2022.

Is the Subaru Ascent selling well?

The Subaru Ascent is selling well in Q2 2022, if not as well as its cousin, the Crosstrek. Still, the Ascent fills a gap for car buyers, as Gear Patrol calls it, “basically a big three-row Forester.” That’s good news for fans of the crossover application who desire more volume and seating. Frankly, Subaru fans voted with their wallets, to the tune of 30,931 units sold this year to date, marking an increase of 9%.

Is the Jeep Compass one of the top sellers in 2022?

One of the smallest Jeeps in the marque’s lineup, the Compass doesn’t go without some serious popularity. According to Gear Patrol, Jeep fans bought 46,335 of the little SUVs this year to date. As a result, the marque can enjoy a staggering 36% increase over previous quarters.

Is the Honda HR-V selling well?

Honda gambled on the release of its 2023 HR-V, and it has paid off. Borrowing some of the tastefully redesigned Civic’s looks, the Honda HR-V has enjoyed instant popularity. Honda has sold 73,016 HR-Vs this year to date. Clearly, the HR-V has tapped into some serious demand.
