“The Voice” Coach and three-time Grammy winner Gwen Stefani is known for her colorful ska-electronica style, and her G-Wagon suits her well. If you’re into the old and boxy – we’re talking Broncos, Land Cruisers, Monteros, and the like – an aged Gelandewagen will surely catch your eye. It won’t really break the bank, either. Here’s one of Gwen’s most expensive cars and what it’s worth now.

Mercedes-Benz released its second-gen G-Class in 1990, splitting drivers into two buckets: the functional performance crowd got the W461, and the Kardashian-types could opt for the W463.

Mercedes sold the civilian version of the utilitarian workhorse-turned-luxury SUV to the uber-wealthy until a major redesign in 2018. Gwen’s G-55 AMG is a facelifted version of the original W463 produced between 2008 and 2012.

What’s a facelifted W463 G-Wagon worth?

It’s not cheap, but an older model isn’t worth as much as you’d think. Based on five-year sales data, you can expect to shell out around $65k for a clean G-Klasse, but you can get them for as low as $40,000.

Gwen is clearly more about stylized performance (duh) than burning stacks of cash for the latest models. The U.S. Sun listed off a bunch of Gwen’s used fancy cars, and none are even classics yet (hit the 25-year-old mark for that). What could be more thrifty ska-rock than a fancy outdated military box? We love it.
