Celebrities love their cars; it’s no secret that high-dollar A-listers splurge on their rides. However, some famous folks go above and beyond with their car collections. Check out a few of the fabulously opulent wheels belonging to some of the highest-profile owners, like Elon Musk and Jay Leno.

These five head-turning celebrity cars are spectacularly posh

Some stars flex with their homes or jewelry. These stars flex with their rides. Here are five of the wildest cars in stardom.

Who owns the 007 Lotus Esprit?

Elon Musk bought this Lotus Esprit, an unconventional car for celebrities, at auction in 2013.

The 1976 Lotus Esprit from the James Bond film “The Spy Who Loved Me” has a party piece: movie magic transformed “Wet Nellie” into a submarine. Impressive as that might be, it isn’t the car’s only trick– it pulled a disappearing act. Until recently, the Esprit was missing. However, when the car resurfaced at auction in 2013, Elon Musk (yes, that Elon Musk) bought it for £616,000.

Drake’s Bugatti Veyron Sang Noir is a high-dollar celebrity car

Drake, a worldwide rap phenomenon, decided that the Bugatti Veyron wasn’t exclusive enough. Instead, he dropped $1.3 million on a one-of-12 Bugatti Veyron Sang Noir. It’s a serious automotive flex; the Sang Noir channels the style of the larger-than-life Type 57S Atlantic for an exceptionally rare hypercar.

How much is a Mercedes 300SL Gullwing worth?

It’s no secret that Jay Leno loves his cars; he has nearly 300 wheeled toys. However, one of the famous talk show host’s cars is especially drool-worthy: a 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing. The 300SL Gullwing, famed for its artful lines and raised-to-the-heavens “gullwing” doors, has an average value of around $1.6 million. However, Classic.com reports that the highest sale on record is closer to $2.6 million.

50 Cent’s Bugatti Chiron is a continent-crushing cruise missile

Some younger car enthusiasts might be too young to remember Curtis Jackson III, better known as 50 Cent, regaling viewers with scenes of a Maserati MC12 in the “Window Shopper” music video. However, his automotive tastes speak for themselves; the rap star bought a $3.3-million Bugatti Chiron, one of the last words in hypercar excess.

A celebrity like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson needs a high-profile car

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is a presence. The former wrestler turned movie star is all about muscle, and his car has to emulate that fact. While a Ferrari badge might be the first thing to pop into your head, The Rock’s most noteworthy car is arguably his Pagani Huayra, a stunning hypercar with a Mercedes-AMG V12.
