The battle between monster trucks isn’t as intense as it used to be. The Ford F-150 Raptor R outpaces the discontinued Ram 1500 TRX. Now the 2025 Ram 1500 RHO is stepping up to the plate while missing one crucial feature.

How much power does the 2025 Ram 1500 RHO have?

The 2025 Ram 1500 RHO uses the new Hurricane High Output engine. The twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six unit cranks out 540 hp and 521 lb-ft of torque.

While that seems like a powerhouse, it falls short of the Ram 1500 TRX, which provides 702 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. Also, the Ford F-150 Raptor R has 720 hp and 640 lb-ft of torque.

Ram suggests the RHO can accelerate from 0 to 60 mpg in 4.6 seconds but the TRX could get there in 3.7 seconds. The Raptor R can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds.

But while the Ram RHO is missing beastly power levels, it does have a few perks to offer. The suspension has tons of off-roading upgrades such as a BorgWagner 49-13 full-time 4×4 transfer case with a 2.64:1 low range.

The independent front suspension has forged aluminum control arms with 13 inches of wheel travel. The rear features a Dana 60 axle with floating axle shafts, an electronic differential, and unique hardpoints for 14 inches of wheel travel.

The 2025 Ram RHO has an 11.8-inch ground clearance and rides on 18-inch beadlock capable wheels wrapped in 35-inch tires. It can ford up to 32 inches of water.

Plus, the Bilstein Black Hawk adaptive dampers were modified with new internals, new mounts, and a new adaptive dampening strategy to improve on road comfort.

It has launch control and off-roading modes for Auto, Tow, Rock, Mud/Sand, Baja, Sport, Snow, and Custom.

The Ram RHO can tow up to 8,300 lbs and carry a payload of up to 1,520 lbs. The Raptor R can tow 8,700 lbs and carry a payload of up to 14,000 lbs.

You can get started with the Ram RHO for $71,945. The Raptor R starts at $111,550 and the Ram 1500 TRX started at 84,850.

While the Ram RHO is missing V8 power, it makes up for it with an enhanced suspension, smarter tech, improved comfort, and a lower price tag.
