Just when you thought the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX had enough power, it gained an extra few hundred horses. The Hennesy Mammoth Ram 1500 TRX is a supercharged truck with 1,012 HP, which is a ridiculous amount of muscle.

The Ram 1500 TRX Hennessey Mammoth is a beast

We feel like the word mammoth is an interesting choice for a truck. Isn’t the mammoth a slow-moving animal that’s extinct? But naming this full-size truck the Hennessey Mammoth also makes sense because mammoths were extremely powerful and capable beasts that dominated the wilderness.

Anyways, the Mammoth 1000 is a beastly truck that’s based on the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX. It was built by Hennessey, the creator of various super trucks, including Goliath, VelociRaptor, and Maximus builds.

So, how did Hennessey give the Ram 1500 TRX more power? According to Motor Trend, the stock TRX has a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 that provides 702 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. The Mammoth 1000 took this power and increased it to 1,012 hp and 969 lb-ft of torque. This is an increase of 310 hp and 319 lb-ft of torque.

Extra Mammoth power

A series of Hennessey upgrades contributed to extra horses. Extensive upgrades help the 6.2-liter engine take in more air and fuel. For example, the factory supercharger system is a 2.4-liter system, but Hennessey upgraded the TRX with a 2.65-liter supercharger system.

There are also new upper and lower pulleys, larger fuel injectors, stainless-steel long tube headers, high-flow mid-pipes, high-flow catalytic converters, high-flow air intake, a crankcase ventilation system, Hennessey tuning, and more.

The Ram TRX 1500 claims to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds, but with Hennessey Mammoth upgrades, it’s expected to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.2 seconds. It’s the first Mammoth that can fly!

What comes with the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX Mammoth 1000?

The 2021 Ram 1500 TRX Mammoth comes with a Mammoth Off-Road Stage 1 package that includes front and rear bumpers equipped with LED lights, 20-inch Hennessey 10-spoke wheels, 35-inch tires, and a 2.5-inch front leveling kit.

There is also an electronically retracting bed cover and electronic fold-out steps. Hennessey and Mammoth 1000 badges add to the TRX’s unique look so you can flex even more. The Hennessey Mammoth also includes a professional installation, chassis dyno testing, and up to 200 miles of road testing.

But here is the catch. It’s expensive. The 2021 Ram 1500 TRX Mammoth has a price tag of around $135,350. Meanwhile, the Ram 1500 TRX begins at about $69,995, so it’s already pretty darn expensive without the extra 300 horsepower.

Also, if you want the Mammoth 1000 ACT FAST. Hennessey has limited production for the TRX Mammoth 100 to 200 units. You can order one through authorized FCA/Ram retailers or Hennessey directly.

Orders are expected to be delivered in April 2021. At least you won’t have to wait long for this mammoth beast. Enjoy its roar as you speed across the desert and jump over dunes.
