Ram has a new package coming in 2022 called the G/T, and it is not a “sticker package.” It will have a decent combo of both a visual package but also some performance upgrades to spice things up. The G/T package will improve the street performance of Ram’s 1500, sort of like the sport trucks of the 1990s.

The outside will announce it is a G/T with a unique hood and graphics

On the outside, the stock hood makes way for the Sport Performance Hood. It is along the lines of the TRX hood but different. G/T package graphics to call out your special Ram according to a post on Moparinsiders.

Under the hood, the Hemi gets a Mopar Cold Air Intake. The rear axle gets the 3.92 ratio set, with a new passive cold-end exhaust system. With better breathing and a taller gear, you will feel the difference.

The Ram G/T will upgrade inside, outside, and under the hood

Inside there is a long list of upgrades starting with eight-way adjustable leather bucket seats. These also feature a four-way adjustable lumbar support. Also getting the leather treatment is the steering wheel.

Combined with the TRX-style console shifter are paddle shifters at the steering wheel. Power adjustable pedals with memory, under-seat lighting, memory settings for both the driver seat and exterior mirrors, and LED footwell lighting. Finally, door accent lighting, ventilated seats, Mopar all-weather floor mats, and a pedal kit top things off.

The G/T package can be ordered with any other trim package available

Pricing hasn’t been determined nor has delivery dates. The G/T package can be ordered with the Sport, Rebel, and Laramie trim packages. Special new 1500 features for 2022 like the optional Trailer 360-degree camera system can also be added in combination with any of these other trims including the G/T.

The G/T will tuck in between the TRX at the top, and standard Ram trucks at the bottom. It won’t hold the same panache as the TRX but will improve the street performance of the Ram 1500 over lesser siblings.
