As the truck segment continues to forge ahead in popularity, pickups just keep getting better. The 2020 Ram 1500 has received praise and awards from virtually every auto critic out there. Here’s why people say the Ram 1500 is the “Rolls Royce” of pickup trucks.

The 2020 Ram 1500 pickup truck

In the video we see a review of the 2020 Ram 1500 Laramie. It’s a great truck with loads of creature comforts plus all the strength you’d expect from a good truck. We get so see a review of the exterior and interior. Then we get to watch a test drive of this luxurious pickup truck beast.

The 2020 Ram 1500 pickup truck starts around $30 grand for the Tradesman Ram 1500. Then it moves on up through six more trim levels topping out with the Limited Ram 1500 which starts at just a bit under $60 grand. Most publications, including Edmunds, recommend choosing the Laramie. In fact, Edmunds says that this truck is the most bang for your buck considering the “massive leap in standard equipment.”

In the review, we see the Ram 1500 Laramie up close and personal. So what’s all the fuss about? Is it really the ‘Rolls Royce’ of pickup trucks?

The ‘Rolls Royce’ of pickup trucks

In the video, the CarWow host says the 2020 Ram 1500 pickup truck has “loads of row presence.” The exterior style gets praise for the recently upgraded grille and the stark RAM brand name stamped over the grille in the same shiny chrome detail that’s seen in several accent points around the truck’s exterior.

The Ram 1500 Laramie in the review also has chrome badging for its 5.7-liter V8 engine. The Laramie trim, according to the host, has a starting price of around $45 grand. However, the truck in the review is optioned out closer to $60 grand. Obviously, this is significantly less money than any 2020 Rolls Royce out there.

The host appreciates the “proper exhaust pipes” done in chrome. In addition, he notes the 3-dimensional iconic Ram logo on the tailgate. He also says that this pickup has the “nicest interior of any truck.” There are leather seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a leather dash. In fact, for a truck, the soft-touch materials in the cabin are seriously plush and impressive. It’s actually pretty easy to see how this truck might be compared called the ‘Rolls Royce’ of trucks.

Is the 2020 Ram a good truck?

Nearly every publication recommends the 2020 Ram 1500. It’s a truck with lots of options. These options include a range of features and engine choices. So it’s really not difficult to say that the 2020 Ram 1500 pickup truck is a good truck.

While this is by no means an actual 2020 Rolls Royce, the Ram 1500 Laramie is a nice truck. The Limited trim takes it there even more. If you’re looking for a great truck with lots of power and a plush cabin, go test out a 2020 Ram 1500.

We know that other half-ton pickup truck options like the Ford F-150 , Toyota Tundra, and Chevy Silverado are also compelling options. While the Ram may not end up being your favorite truck, it’s definitely got a lot going for it and it is absolutely worth your consideration if you are shopping for a half-ton pickup truck.
