Trucks come with all sorts of features, allowing buyers to customize each into the truck of their dreams. While bench seats used to be common, they’ve given way to bucket seats in recent models. Split bench seats are even less common. This kind of seat allows you to fold up a portion, so you can optimize your use of storage and passengers. The following truck models come with split bench seats.

1. Chevrolet Silverado HD

J.D. Power named the Silverado HD as the highest-ranked large heavy-duty pickup for initial and long-term quality. Both the Silverado 2500HD and 3500HD come with a rear 60/40 folding bench seat. You can fold up one or both sides, allowing you to mix and match to fit your needs.

Regardless of how you use them, the Silverado comes with firm foam seats for added comfort and support. The 2500HD starts at $37,600 while the 3500HD starts at $40,300.

2. Ram 1500

The Ram 1500 has gathered a number of accolades since hitting the market, including:

  • Truck Trend’s 2019 Pickup of the Year
  • Consumer Guide Best Buy
  • Motortrend Truck of the Year 2019
  • Popular Mechanics Automotive Excellence Award

The Ram 1500 prides itself on a luxurious interior, including three models with split bench seats as a standard feature: Tradesman, Big Horn/Lone Star, and Laramie. All three models come with a 40/20/40 split bench seat.

The only model lacking this type of seat is the Rebel. Folding up the rear bench seat will give the owner access to up to 40 liters of under-seat storage. In addition to these seats, the 1500 has increased the crew cab length by four inches, allowing it to boast Ram’s most spacious interior to date. The lowest-priced model starts at $33,440.

3. GMC Sierra 1500 Limited

The Sierra 1500 Limited boasts modern technology and a bold appearance. For those focused on storage and flexibility, it also includes standard front split bench seats. The seat is a 40/20/40 split and provides a lockable storage compartment in the seat cushion. The SLE model also includes a 60/40 rear split-folding bench seat. This double cab truck’s split bench seats provide convenience and comfort, starting at $29,600.

4. Ford F-250 Superduty XLT

If you are looking for a large, powerful truck with a split bench seat option, the F-250 Superduty may fit your needs. The new F-250 XLT has a lower body weight than previous models while providing a stronger, high-strength steel frame and chassis components.

The F-250 XLT seats six and comes with front 40/20/40 split bench seats and locking storage. If you opt for the SuperCab, you’ll also get a 60/40 fold-up rear bench seat. The Crew Cab comes with a 60/40 flip-up/fold-down rear bench seat that also includes fold-flat lockable storage. This Superduty model starts at $37,365.

5. Nissan Titan

The Nissan Titan was named the highest-ranked large light-duty pickup in initial quality by J.D. Power. It may not truly belong on this list as it does not have a rear split bench seat. However, the full-size pickup is considered a competitor to the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 that attempts to flaunt a split bench seat, just not in the rear.

While the Silverado comes with a 60/40 rear folding bench seat, the Titan offers a 40/20/40 split bench front seat. The seat has a flip-down center seat with armrest. The Titan starts at $30,690.
