Most children under the age of 13 are required to have a car seat while riding in a vehicle. Most cars can easily fit a single car seat in the back with no issues, but what happens when you have two or three kids that need booster seats? If the car seat isn’t secured properly, it could cause potential safety issues.

In addition to having good safety ratings, parents want a car that fit all of their children comfortably. Luckily, Cars.com compiled a nice list of vehicles that can easily fit three car seats across the second row of seating. Here are some of our favorites.

Dodge Grand Caravan

This minivan has some of the most versatile seating options of any vehicle in its class. The seats in the third row are Stow ‘n Go, which means easier access to getting each child buckled up. Not to mention, more space in the back to store all of their belongings. Parents can use the Caravan’s latch anchors to secure the car seat as well as the seat belt. It received high marks in crash tests and comes with many standard safety features.

Honda Pilot

The Honda Pilot got some major improvements for 2019, including more cargo capacity, more driver safety features, and even more space for passengers to stretch their legs. Three car seats of any size can occupy the second row, with plenty of room for the front seat passengers to pull forward without feeling too cramped. Plus, there are two sets of latch anchors and top tethers that are easy to see and use.

In addition to the adequate room for car seats, the third row is now big enough to seat adult passengers comfortably, a perk that can be hard to find in some three-row vehicles.

Ford Expedition

This large SUV is a solid vehicle overall thanks to its powerful engine, large cargo area, and spacious seating. The Expedition can be purchased with either seven or eight-passenger seats. With the bench seat model, three car seats can occupy the second row and two more can be placed in the third row.

The latch connectors are easy to find on both the top and bottom of the car. The second-row bench can be easily folded forward to make a small walkway between the two rows. Its impeccable crash test scores and fantastic rear-seat entertainment system makes this car a great pick for families.

Ford F-150

It’s hard to find a pickup truck with a high safety rating, but the Ford F-150 is one of the best options available. Especially for families that want to take their first offroading adventure.

Its seats are roomy and perfect for drivers with a lot of passengers. It has two sets of exposed latch anchors and three top tethers in the second row. Testers found that the unconventional placement was difficult to use at first, but each type of car seat can be easily installed once parents get the hang of it.

Honda Odyssey

This car is widely known as being one of the best family vehicles on the market. Naturally, it can handle a few extra car seats. Three of them can fit across the second row and an additional two car seats can be installed in the third row.

The second row has three complete sets of latches and tethers, while the third row has two latch anchors and three top tethers. Each type of car seat is easy to install with little adjustments. This leaves the front passengers with plenty of room to move around.
