The Nissan Ariya will make a whopping 238 horses using its single motor trim. The dual motor trim makes 389 horsepower.
The Japanese electric SUV will get more horses and range than its rivals, however its performance comes at a high price. According to Road Show by CNET, the 2023 Nissan Ariya will start at $47,125. Even after electric vehicle tax incentives the Ariya will be close to $40,000. This electric SUV has enhanced capability, but its starting price may be too high for the average consumer.
The Toyota bZ4X is the all-around electric SUV
The Toyota bZ4X was developed with the help of Subaru but it clearly is marketed to a different target audience than the Subaru Solterra. Toyota focuses on the bZ4X’s battery capabilities in its introduction videos.
The Toyota bZ4X is expected to get up to 250 miles of range. It will make 201 horsepower using its single motor and 215 horsepower using a dual motor system. The bZ4X will be the all-around electric SUV. It is likely to start at around $40,000 so its price after tax credits will be closer to $33,000.
