Over the years, BMW 7 Series luxury cars built a reputation for full-size comfort and sports sedan performance. From refined powerplants to balanced handling, BMW’s full-size sedan has become known for its smooth yet energetic ride.

BMW’s i Division focuses on EVs and, for 2024, brings the i7 to the table. With its ultra-quiet acceleration and emissions-free drive, the electric 7 Series makes the model better than ever.

So, how much can car shoppers expect to pay for an i7 both at its base level and top trim with all the bells and whistles added on? Here’s how much a fully loaded 2024 BMW i7 costs.

The entry-level 2024 BMW i7 eDrive50 trim

The BMW i7 base model is the eDrive50. Starting at $105,700 (plus $995 destination), this luxury EV comes packed with standard features.

Central to the BMW i7 eDrive50 is its electric powertrain. Its electric motor puts out 449 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque for smooth, strong acceleration. And with up to 317 miles of range and fast charge capability, it’s a viable alternative to gas-powered models.

Exterior-wise, the eDrive50 sticks to the 7 Series formal of long, elegant bodywork. It’s handsome yet sporty, hinting at its comfort and performance. Additionally, 19-inch aerodynamic gunmetal gray wheels look sharp, and chrome accents add classy detail.

As noted by Car and Driver, BMW developed the i7 alongside the regular 7 Series. That means the EV enjoys the same upscale, high-tech interior as its sibling.

Features like extended merino leather upholstery, fineline open-pore wood trim, and a black center console with brushed aluminum touch-sensitive controls create a comfortable ambiance. Power multi-function front seats let the driver and passenger fine-tune shoulder and thigh support. And the comfort headrest allows two-way manual lateral adjustment.

A full-color head-up display relays critical info while letting drivers stay focused on the road. BMW’s My Modes has settings for Sport, Efficient, and Personal modes for a tailored driving experience. Lastly, a cloud-based navigation system ensures accurate directions, no matter the destination.

What’s included in the 2024 BMW i7 M70?

The 2024 BMW i7 M70 offers motorsport-inspired performance in an EV package. With hardware equally suited to hot laps and weekend drives, this full-size luxury car expertly blends handling and comfort. Here’s how.

The i7 M70 not only has emissions-free driving and a commendable 295-mile range but also supercar acceleration and glue-like road holding. With its dual-motor, all-wheel drive layout, the M70 routes 650 hp and 749 lb-ft of torque to all four wheels, with 60 mph arriving in only 3.5 seconds. That’s excellent for a purpose-built sports car, let alone a full-size executive car.

The M70 builds in the base i7’s already elegant bodywork, adding M badges, blue brake calipers, and 21-inch M-Aerodynamic wheels. A Shadowline exterior trim adds black accents for a purposeful look.

Inside, fineline black trim with metallic inlays and M stripes adds a sporty touch. Available black/atlas grey M extended leather upholstery is both supple and stylish. Front massaging seats and rear ventilated seats make every ride a pleasant experience.

Standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto bring seamless connectivity, and BMW’s iDrive 8 interface uses over-the-air updates to ensure optimal performance. A 12.3-inch digital gauge display provides high-tech looks and accurate data, while the 14.9-inch touchscreen offers usability and convenience.

Accessories, add-ons, and packages of the i7

For the discerning driver, BMW offers an array of add-ons, accessories, and packages. Here are some of our favorites.

For i7 eDrive50 buyers, the $3,900 M Sport package adds 20-inch M wheels, a Shadowline exterior trim, and an M steering wheel.

The $1,750 Premium package enhances convenience and style with Parking Assistant Professional, Surround View w/3D View, an illuminated kidney grille, and ACC Stop + Go and Active Driving Assistant. Or, the $3,700 Executive package brings automatic doors, massaging seats, and crystal headlights for upscale elegance.

M70 buyers can personalize their ride with $5,000 Frozen Deep Grey paint, $1,300 M Aerodynamic jet black wheels, and $1,080 carbon fiber trim. Meanwhile, a $600 BMW Wallbox provides home charging convenience, with concierge installation by Qmerit costing from $899 to $2,180 (or more).

The i7 takes the BMW 7 Series into the 21st century with leading-edge powertrains and full-size luxury. The base model i7 eDrive50 has solid range and quick acceleration, while the top-trim M70 has track-ready speed and all-wheel traction. Still, no matter the trim, the i7 is a futuristic luxury car.
