The supercharged 2021 Ram 1500 TRX is already one of the most highly anticipated brand-new pickup trucks. As a result, many of these TRX models are currently working their way through assembly lines across the country. However, it seems once an unlucky customer will have to wait a bit longer than expected. According to an image posted to Instagram by sinister_lifestyle reported by TheDrive, a brand new TRX fell on its side on the assembly line.

How did this Ram 1500 TRX fall off the assembly line?

Since all we have is an image of the fallen Ram 1500 TRX, there isn’t much information to go off of. According to The Drive, this truck may have fallen off one of the plant’s mechanical carriers. Based on some of the Instagram comments, this issue may have taken place at the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant, says TheDrive. However, it is worth noting that there is no official confirmation from Ram about what reportedly happened.

Although the carrier failure theory is not yet confirmed, it does make sense. As these brand-new Ram 1500 TRX’s make their way throughout the assembly line, they are moved between stations. These metal carriers have to handle the immense weight of the truck as it moves around. As a result, it would not be surprising to learn that a weight distribution issue caused this Ram to fall. Regardless, we can clearly see from the image that the truck is resting on its side with some severe damage.

How wrecked is this supercharged truck?

At first glance, this Ram 1500 TRX doesn’t look all that bad. In fact, the main fab and front end still look relatively intact. However, this is because most of the damage likely lives on the side we cannot yet see. As a result, expect a damaged front fender and driver side doors as well. However, from what we can see, the truck’s bed seems to have suffered some damage on the side facing upwards.

According to TheDrive, based on an Instagram commenter, a yet unnamed source claims that the truck will likely be scrapped. As you’d expect, Ram cannot take the risk of simply fixing this truck and potentially sending it out as brand-new. Given how powerful the TRX is, it needs to be in perfect shape. What remains to be seen, however, is where the truck will end up. From the photos, it seems to be nearing the end of the assembly line. What we don’t know is whether or not it has an engine or not. Regardless, don’t count on seeing this truck again anytime soon.

What makes the Ram 1500 TRX so special is what lies under the hood. Its 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine develops 702 hp. Add on to that all of the brand new suspension components and extra strengthening, and you end up with a serious off-roading machine. As a result, it won’t surprise you to learn that the enormous truck can reach 60 mph in around 4.5 seconds and complete the quarter-mile in 12.9 seconds.

However, the Ram can also handle even large jumps thanks to many of its re-designed suspension components. In fact, this truck’s frame has been altered by at least 74 percent compared to a standard 1500, says MotorTrend. Regardless, there is a good reason as to why owners can’t wait for them to arrive finally.
