Billionaires and celebrities often spend their money on lavish luxuries like world-class cars. So, what kind of cars do some of the wealthiest people in the world have in their garages? Moreover, are all the cars crazy supercars and hypercars, or do billionaires like Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, and Donald Trump have shockingly normal rides?

What car does Jeff Bezos use?

Jeff Bezos, CEO and President of Amazon, is one of the richest people on the planet. Consequently, Bezos has quite the car collection, with dizzyingly expensive hypercars and supercars. Specifically, the priciest vehicles in his collection include a Lamborghini Veneno Roadster and Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita, totaling nearly $10 million.

However, Bezos also owns a 1997 Honda Accord. Even with a net worth higher than the GDP of the Dominican Republic in 2023, the Amazon CEO and billionaire bought the Accord because “it’s a perfectly good car.” Moreover, driving a late ’90s Honda Accord undoubtedly attracts significantly less attention than a $5 million Lamborghini Veneno Roadster.

What kind of car does Mark Zuckerberg drive?

One of the most unhinged cars in Facebook founder and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s car collection is a Pagani Huayra. The successor to the striking Zonda, the Huayra packs a 720-horsepower twin-turbocharged Mercedes-AMG V8 and one of the most dramatic bodies in the automotive landscape.

However, carwow says Zuckerberg also has a Honda Fit. The Fit is a sensible hatchback and U.S. market counterpart to the Jazz. The Fit is certainly an understated ride for a billionaire. Moreover, the Fit offers commendable fuel economy and the potential to last well over 200,000 miles.

What car does Elon Musk drive?

Despite his electric vehicle marque Tesla and its EV segment dominance, Elon Musk owned several top-tier internal combustion supercars. For instance, Musk owned a 1997 McLaren F1, the undisputed fastest car in the world at the time of its production.

Moreover, Musk has several of Tesla’s all-electric vehicles, including a 2008 Tesla Roadster and a Model S Performance

What car does Donald Trump own?

Former U.S. President and billionaire Donald Trump has owned several expensive and flamboyant vehicles, including a Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren, a Lamborghini Diablo, a Tesla Roadster, and a 2010 Rolls-Royce Phantom.

Interestingly enough, Reader’s Digest reports that former presidents aren’t allowed to drive. According to the Former President’s Act of 1958, all living presidents are entitled to a lifetime of U.S. Secret Service protection. Consequently, presidents can’t drive themselves; those are seriously expensive static displays.

Why do billionaires drive cheap cars?

Billionaires Jeff Bezos and Mark Zuckerberg both drive unassuming, cheap cars from time to time. Understandably so, considering how famous the mega-earners are. Driving an innocuous vehicle like Bezos’ 1997 Honda Accord could allow a billionaire to travel around relatively undetected.

However, some wealthy individuals choose to keep a cheap car for other reasons, like sentimentality. While Chris ‘Ludacris’ Bridges might not be a billionaire, the wealthy rapper has a stable of world-class vehicles, with an interesting exception: a 1993 Acura Legend with over 250,000 miles. Nostalgia and loyalty keep the Acura Legend in his garage.
