ATVs are one of the most popular off-roading vehicles that are available on the market today. Because of the lightweight design and sporty suspension, these four-wheeled vehicles can quickly tear through a wide range of terrains that most other vehicles would not be able to make it through. ATVs are both fun to drive and useful for various outdoor jobs.

Because there are so many ATVs on the market today, it can be confusing trying to decide which one would be best for you. To help cut down on some of the confusion, we have compiled a list of some of the best ATVs that are on the market in 2019.

2019 Yamaha YFZ 450R: a great ATV for racing

The 2019 Yamaha YFZ 450R is one of the most aggressive and powerful ATVs on the market today. It features a durable lightweight aluminum frame that allows the quick-revving engine to sit lower to provide optimum weight distribution.

If you are looking for a race-ready ATV, the YFZ450R is a great choice. This ATV comes equipped with a 449 cc fuel-injected engine that is specially designed to be extremely efficient and responsive. The powerful engine is mated to a 5-speed transmission that has a wet multi-plate assist-and-slipper clutch, which allows you to switch gears more smoothly and reduces the engine-braking effect.

One of the coolest things about this ATV is that is the footpegs can be lowered to not only accommodate taller riders but also give you a better center of gravity. This will help to improve the ATVs overall agility and allow it to turn sharp corners much easier.

Can-Am Renegade 1000R X xc: perfect for off-roading

For years, the Can-Am Renegade has been one of the most loved ATVs for people who are looking for a true off-road adventure. The liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, V-twin motor is able to produce an impressive 91 hp. The V-twin engine is paired with a CVT transmission, so you don’t have to worry about constantly shifting gears.

This year, the Renegade 1000R has one of the best suspension systems on the market. The Fox Podium 1.5 RC2 shocks come equipped with rebound adjusters, a speed dampening system, and preload adjustments make them one of the most sought-after shocks on the market.

When you combine the shocks with a front double A-arm suspension system that delivers up to a 9.2-inches of suspension travel, you have an ATV that can easily climb over any obstacles that the backwoods trails have to offer.

2019 Yamaha Raptor 700R SE: offers great control

At first glance, the 2019 Yamaha Raptor 700 SE seems very similar to the Yamaha YFZ450R. Both very athletic vehicles with piggyback shocks and superior handling. The one thing that sets these two ATVs apart from each other is the engine.

The Raptor 700 comes with a 4-valve fuel-injected engine. Unlike the 450R’s quick-revving engine, the 700R engines have longer strokes which allow the engine to build power over time, instead of giving you a giant jolt all at once.

Both options have unique advantages, but if you are looking at climbing tough terrain, you may want to opt for the slower-revving engine because it will allow to better maintain control of the ATV.

2019 Polaris Scrambler XP 1000: the peak of ATV comfort

The 2019 Polaris Scrambler XP 1000 is known for its powerful and rugged design. The XP 1000 features a fuel-injected, 89 hp engine with a CVT transmission. Not only is the Scrambler known for power, but the XP 1000 is also known for its exceptional comfort. The ATV features a narrow body with wide footboards and electronic power steering.

The impressive ATV also features 11.5-inches of ground clearance and the Roll Independent Rear Suspension gives you 10.25-inches of wheel travel, making it the perfect choice for tackling rough terrain and large obstacles.

2019 Honda TRX 250X: great value and safety

The Honda TRX 250X is one of the least expensive ATVs on our list. The TRX 250X will only cost you around $5,000. However, it comes equipped with several features that make it the perfect quad for teenagers and beginner riders.

The 229 cc four-stroke engine with overhead valves provides smooth and consistent power. The TRX 250 X is also equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission with the Honda Sport clutch. The Sport Clutch help new riders learn how to properly use the clutch without worrying about the engine stalling out.

The small frame and the superior suspension helps the ATV to handle well. The TRX 250X has the smallest amount of wheel travel out of any AVTV on the list. However, the 5.9 inches of wheel travel does still allow you to climb plenty of obstacles on the trails.
