You need to get your trucking money’s worth! So, don’t settle for a truck that doesn’t provide solid value, and get the facts about the Nissan Frontier straight. It may be a surprise, but the 2024 Nissan Frontier is the mid-size truck with the most value.

The 2024 Nissan Frontier is the mid-size truck with the best value

Congratulate the 2024 Nissan Frontier for being the mid-size truck with the best value. It’s at the top, according to a study by Cars to determine the new vehicles with the best value.

The Nissan Frontier came ahead of the 2024 Toyota Tacoma, which landed in second place, and then the 2024 Chevy Colorado took third place. Unfortunately, the Ford Ranger and GMC Canyon didn’t make the list.

To be the mid-size truck with the most value, the option must have:

  • Apple CarPlay/Android Auto
  • An automatic transmission
  • Blind-spot monitoring
  • Forward collision warning
  • Automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection
  • Brake assist
  • Lane departure warning

If these features aren’t standard, then the price of adding them was calculated into the starting price. Other things considered for this study include medium rim cost, fuel economy ratings, fuel costs, and manufacturer warranty.

The standard Frontier has a 3.8-liter V6 engine with 310 hp and 281 lb-ft of torque. It gets an EPA-estimated 18 mpg in the city and up to 24 mpg on the highway. Its annual fuel cost is about $2,350.

Also, it has a starting price of $32,530, with the technology package added on to include the required features. Mid-level trims cost about $35,005.

The Nissan Frontier’s bumper-to-bumper warranty covers the first three years or 36,000 miles. The drivetrain warranty covers five years or 60,000 miles.

But the $32,530 price is for the King Cab S 4×2 model. It’s pretty bare bones with 16-inch steel wheels, cloth upholstery, an 8.0-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, two USB ports, a four-speaker audio system, and forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking.

The Tacoma and Colorado models are this list are also 2×4 options with the basics. The Frontier simply adds more stuff at a lower price.
