How much will the 2023 Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid cost?
The 2023 Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid starts at $27,970 and will hit dealerships in June. When Toyota first announced the Corolla Cross subcompact SUV last year, the crowd went wild. Well, one can assume. Bringing the Corolla into the crossover SUV world was a good move, as people have known the sedan for a long time. The Corolla Cross Hybrid only builds on that reputation for reliability and longevity.
The 2023 Corolla Cross Hybrid will use the TNGA-C platform that gives the driver a higher line of sight. Michael Tripp, vice president of Toyota marketing, says, “Overall, Corolla Cross Hybrid is jam-packed with features and specs at a great price point that we know customers will love.”
Drivers will be able to select from the regular gasoline version or the 2023 Corolla Cross Hybrid. Both are also built at the Mazda Toyota Manufacturing plant in Huntsville, Alabama.
What is the mpg for a 2023 Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid?
Thanks to the Fifth Generation Toyota Hybrid System, the 2023 Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid gets 45 mpg in the city and 38 mpg on the highway. That works out to about 42 mpg combined. The 2023 Corolla Cross Hybrid has an eight-second zero to 60 mph time and is surprisingly fun to drive. New technology used in the Lithium-Ion battery makes it lighter but still just as powerful as it needs to be. Toyota put the hybrid system under the rear seats, which helped maximize cargo capacity and gave the hybrid a low center of gravity.
2023 also brings three trim levels to choose from: S, SE, and XSE. All versions will get Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto standard.
Standard Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 comes standard on all trims
The Corolla Cross Hybrid will also get Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 across all trim levels. This adds many safety systems to help keep everyone safe on the roads, like Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection. It also adds Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control. Automatic High Beams help drivers see better at night, and Road Sign Assist is helpful for similar situations.
The new hybrid SUV has a 36-month or 36,000-mile basic warranty and a 60-month or 60,000-mile warranty for the powertrain. Hybrid parts receive eight years or 100,000 miles of coverage, save for the battery. The hybrid battery is covered for 10 years or 150,000 miles. Those who take home the sport utility vehicle also get two years of ToyotaCare, which covers scheduled maintenance for two years or 25,000 miles.
