Talk about popularity problems! These in-demand SUVs might be on the market this year, but that doesn’t mean you can get one. Ford and Kia make some of these SUVs for 2023 that everyone wants to buy, even if that is impossible. These sport utility vehicles have been subject to semiconductor chip shortages and production issues, leaving some fans empty-handed.

Ford’s Bronco is an SUV for 2023 that everyone wants

There isn’t much to dislike about the 2023 Ford Bronco. It is off-road capable, totally customizable, and just an all-around good-looking vehicle. Ford also offers the Bronco a two-door or four-door body style, with a removable top as an option. This makes it suitable for many customers and drivers but also made it one of the SUVs for 2023 that everyone wants and can’t find.

Currently, the base model and Everglades are unavailable for order, and the Heritage models have been hard to find. Some configurations have been delayed, and not all of the listed packages can be added. Ford Authority reports the automaker actually planned to reopen the order books this week for the 2023 Bronco, but only for 24 hours.

There are still some problems with producing the many pieces of the Bronco. Some other unavailable options include the manual transmission and the Badlands wheels. The Bronco Raptor has its own allocation process, but don’t expect to order one anytime soon.

The Kia Telluride is another SUV for 2023 that everyone wants to buy

The Kia Telluride was hard to find at the start of the pandemic. It was so popular that dealerships around the country could not keep up with demand. This led to high prices and dealership markups added to the MSRP simply because demand exceeded supply.

The 2023 Kia Telluride is suffering from the same popularity problems, with the Kia website noting, “Not all optional features available on all trims. Some features may vary. Limited inventory available.” While the Telluride has plenty of trims and packages available, some customers still have trouble finding certain ones.

Since the Telluride is an affordable option with plenty of room and ways to customize it from the factory, it has attracted many new fans. Kia is working hard on ramping up production, which will hopefully make it easier to find in the next few months.

Ford’s Mustang Mach-E is also hard to find

The 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E has been popular since it was first announced. Ford has been taking orders and making deliveries as frequently as possible, but there have been some complications along the way.

Ford has ordering paused for the Select and Premium trims, but it isn’t easy to find the GT or California Route 1 models. Between semiconductor chip shortages and problems keeping up with popularity, the Mach-E is an SUV for 2023 that everyone wants but can’t necessarily find. The website reads: “Limited inventory of various models may be available at select dealers.”

Switching to an order-based production model has left the automaker scrambling to keep up. Some drivers have ordered Mach-E SUVs that haven’t been delivered for one reason or another. Packages and additions or certain specs have been harder to fulfill, which leaves some drivers without the ideal vehicle. There are some 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E SUVs floating around dealerships, but those can be hard to find too.
